Born in Sao Paulo Brazil Professor Luiz Vicente Junior began his career in martial arts not with Jiu-Jitsu, but in Judo. When Vicente was only fourteen years old he began his training with Judo and committed six years to that particular discipline, earning himself the rank of Brown Belt. It was not until later that Vicente was introduced to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position and using joint-locks and chokeholds to force an opponent to submit. Vicente has fully dedicated himself to this sport, training as often two or three times a day. His years of hard work and dedication to the sport have earned him the rank of 5th Degree De La Riva Black Belt. Vicente began training with Firearms only a few years ago . With dedication and strict discipline, He quickly mastered the red dot handgun to become a Endorsed Instructor for Modern Samurai Project, and earning numerous 3/4 standards patches. Vicente has also recently began shooting competitively in USPSA.
John "JayDee" Daniel bean his shooting career at a young age. His father had him shooting competitively in Trap, Sporting Clays, Rimfire and finally 3gun. He then paused his shooting to become an Anne Arundel County Police Officer in 2002. Most of his career was spent in Patrol and Missing Persons. During his career he took every opportu
John "JayDee" Daniel bean his shooting career at a young age. His father had him shooting competitively in Trap, Sporting Clays, Rimfire and finally 3gun. He then paused his shooting to become an Anne Arundel County Police Officer in 2002. Most of his career was spent in Patrol and Missing Persons. During his career he took every opportunity to train with firearms, including Patrol Rifle, Shotgun, and Less Lethal options. His preferred training was always the handgun. In 2016 he was retired on a duty related disability at the rank of Corporal. He then went to work as a Special Investigator for the SAO where he is currently employed full time. In 2018 on a dare from his friend he went to try Brazilian Jiujitsu with his son under our Head Instructor Luiz Vicente Jr. He quickly fell in love with the sport and is currently a Purple Belt and Kids Jiujitsu coach under Vicente Junior. While in class Vicente and JayDee began talking about shooting the Red Dot on Handguns. The two decided at that time to start teaching the red dot and Learn2FPU was started. In 2024 JayDee began shooting USPSA and in his first year reached B class in just a few matches.
